In electronics,
• an analog multiplexer is a device that selects between several inputs and passes the selected analog input signal to an output. The address inputs are used to select the active input.
• an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) is a circuit that converts an analog signal into a digital signal. The conversion process takes time, so the result at the ADC output is delayed.
